On March 6th 2017 Linda Morassutti was very honoured to attend a meeting of the Cedar WI in Cedar,BC on Vancouver Island, to present Anne Augustine with a long service certificate. Anne had been a member of the WI in Dufresne, Manitoba for 58 years. She was a  founding members of the Dufresne local and through the years had served on many committees, especially as President.  In August 2016 , Anne moved to Ladysmith BC to be closer to her daughters. Anne had never received a certificate for her years of service to the Manitoba WI. With the help of Julie Hockley, MWI Executive Administrator and the BCWI Administrator she was able to contact the President , Connie Grinnell , of the WI local in Cedar, very close to where Anne is now living in Ladysmith. Connie was very cooperative and understanding of Linda’s need to present Anne with her certificate and invited Ruth Fenner, BCWI Historian, to attend the meeting and help with the presentation

Linda and MWI are very thankful to Cedar WI for their efforts in making this presentation to Anne such a memorable event. Anne is now a member of Cedar WI .

WI is truly a “sisterhood of sisters” helping each other across the country and across the world.
