SEPTEMBER Snippets
~ Apologies to Dianne Kowalchuk for missing her name in the last Snippets. Dianne also attended the ACWW Area Canada Conference in Pembroke in June. Sheila Needham, Area Canada President, appointed Dianne as recording secretary, so her writing skills were definitely put to good use during the meeting.
~ Manitoba Rural Women’s Day plans were further finalized at our meeting. Thank you to Deb Melosky and her committee.
~ Page 6 of our September newsletter has an article by Keith MacPherson one of our speakers at MRWD. An intriguing article that makes me want to learn more from him at our event in October.
~ MWI Committees have presented their Terms of Reference for working towards our plans for this year. Stay tuned as we begin to roll out some of the things being worked on.
~ Website additions are happening on a regular basis—I hope you are checking what is happening on the website.
~ A 2018 Triennial convention planning meeting was held recently. Work is moving forward for the great event in July 2018. I hope you are going to be attending.
~ Our year end is approaching so be watching for information at branch level and mailings to individual members regarding memberships, etc.
